I promise. I am working on my blog. I am just a bit of a perfectionist so I have not posted any Henry stuff yet. Working on it!!!!!! There is just so much to post I dont know where to begin! It is my goal to get caught up this week.... we will see how that goes!

Extreme Apartment Makeover

Why would one paint and apartment one has to paint back once one moves? Simple, because one is pregnant. I was bored of our drab little townhouse and found out that we were allowed to paint! However, we have to paint it back once we move, which could be as early as this october. I was so excited to paint and knew I wanted to do something a bit different. This is what I had to work with...

I looked online for inspiration. I found myself being drawn to blues... who knows why? I never have been a blue person in my life. These were my "inspiration" pictures...

So I love the look of the top picture. However, I wanted to make more impact with the paint color. So I decided that I would "meet in the middle" with a color by the name of "embellished blue" . You can't go wrong with Embellished Blue can you? Well this was the result...

Yikes!

Trust me. It looked worse in person. Due to my current condition, I wanted to avoid the paint fumes so my wonderful husband and brother David painted the entire living room. After David went home Danny and I were sitting on the loveseat looking at the walls. I asked him what he thought of it. "It's really blue" he says, trying to spare my feelings. I blurted out that I hated it and then proceeded to cry. I woke up that next moring not hating it as much as the night before but then my mother told me that all I needed was pink flamingos on the wall. So... I painted it again. My mother offered to help which Iwas great because I didn't want to put Danny and Dave through that again. We picked out some fabric for drapes and took a color from that. And here are the results...

I still have a lot I want to do. I want to bring some hints of orange, chocolate brown and zebra print. It's a lot of blue right now, but I love it so much more that both of the before pictures!

Well word got out that our local missionaries were planning on going to Johnny's Pizza for some free pizza. Danny likes pizza. He loves FREE pizza. Then we find out that it's a 8 pound, stuffed pizza that has to be consumed within 30 minutes or else you pay $24.00! If you succeed in this seemingly simple task you get your name and picture on the "wall of fame" a free Johnny's Pizza t-shirt and free pizza. You were also allowed to have a pizza eating partner making it 4 pounds of pizza in 30 minutes. Peice of pizza right? So the date was set and 3 sets of missionaries came (2 came to participate, one to witness) and Danny's pizza eating partner was Kyle. They were not allowed to get up from the table or they would be disqualified. Johnny started the timer and they were off! The first 5-10 minutes looked promising. Danny and Kyle were both almost done with their 2nd peice. However peice number 3 took a lot longer... Danny finished his 4 peices and was working on the crumbs with 2 minutes to go. Kyle however, was unable to finish his last peice and time ran out. Out of all three groups that participated not one group finished the task. Danny was the only one able to eat all four of his peices. They all ended up on the "wall of shame".
